Hi there, I'm Anna.

My purpose is to help you share your mission and grow your impact. I would love the opportunity to serve as your Fundraising Consultant, Graphic/Web Designer, Marketing Strategist, Media Relations Professional, and/or Event Planner. Somewhere in between all of these hats AND being a mom, I decided to add Entrepreneur to the list.

Be The Good Consulting was grown out of a desire to create a new way of doing the important work of marketing, fundraising and public relations. There is a way to shift the narrative so that we get back to focusing on our missions and doing good in the world. Whether you are selling insurance or running a nonprofit, we all have the ability to believe there is good in the world and to Be The Good.

I am passionate about helping your organization achieve your goals. Known for my attention to detail (some may call it perfectionist tendency), I promise to leave no stone unturned in helping you grow your impact. My personal goal is to generate results while saving money. As a mom, I am comfortable wearing many hats and can easily shuffle from event planner to media relations manager to graphic designer and communication strategist. I take great ownership in each project I collaborate on and am loyal, honest and dependable.

At the end of the day, I am the eternal optimist and believe in finding the positive in every situation. Marketing often requires the ability to shift gears on a moment’s notice and I do this with confidence. At the same time, I also believe future thinking — and planning —prevents future challenges.

Education & Achievements

I have a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Iowa with degrees in Journalism and Spanish. I am often referred to as a “data geek” and regularly use those skills to generate results. I have spoken several times at BBCON, the leading conference for nonprofit fundraising data experts. In 2018, I was honored to be receive the Corridor Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 award.

Community Involvement

I believe in giving back to the community is something everyone should do in their own way. Over the years, I have served as vice president of the Family Promise of Linn County Board of Directors, member of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois Board of Directors and board member and chair of the Women’s Equality Coalition of Linn County

My husband, Sean, and I live in Cedar Rapids with our four very energetic kids, two boys and two girls. Related, my current volunteer activities involve supporting the fine arts within the Cedar Rapids Community School District (hello 4am call times for choir and band competitions) and serving on the School Improvement Advisory Committee (SIAC).
